Swisscontact is a Zurich-based organization founded in 1959 by members of the Swiss private sector and academia for sustainable development cooperation. Its aim is to contribute to poverty alleviation by promoting economic and social development in selected developing countries. The Swisscontact South Asia Regional Office (SARO) based in Bangladesh is registered as an international NGO with the NGO Affairs Bureau.
Swisscontact invites applications from qualified candidates for the position of Coordinator- Communications and M&E. The position is for EU funded project; Towards sustainable quality healthcare delivery at grassroots level through active participation of civil society organizations (TARSAN-CSO) being implemented by Swisscontact in collaboration with RTM International.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the monitoring & evaluation activities of the project as per Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Framework by developing appropriate tools and instruments.
- Coordinate communication activities as per communication and visibility plan of the project.
- Facilitate M&E and Communication capacity building activities, including building technical capacity of team within the project.
- Facilitate consultation and collaboration with key points of expertise over communication, monitoring & evaluation, data and information within the project and its stakeholders.
- Prepare relevant technical briefing papers, and status updates for the project management team.
- Contribute to project management through timely processing and dissemination of communication and M&E findings and best practices to facilitate evidence-based planning, learning and program decision-making.
- Undertake periodic review of the implementation and operation of the monitoring and reporting mechanism; including the preparation of best practices and lessons learned.
- Monitor activities against the benchmark indicators set in the M&E framework /communication and visibility plan of the project.
- Assist the project team in planning and conduction of training/capacity development program for the partners/associates/beneficiaries
- Make regular field trips to monitor program implementation and meet with partners/associates/beneficiaries
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Male or female with working experience of at least five years in design and implementation of results chain measurement in established organizations, projects, NGOs involved in skills development activities.
- Good track record of mapping result oriented communication strategy for skilled based project.
- Team player and having the willingness to undertake rigorous field work.
- Masters in Public Health/ Social Sciences.
- Experience of working in health program would get preference.
- Experience of working with local NGOs, development partners and government bodies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Bangla.
